When a storm tears through Essex and shingles start peeling off the roofline, you need a crew that picks up the phone and shows up — not a call center that puts you on hold.
Roof Repair Smedway didn't start as a franchise looking for a market to plant a sign in. Our crews trained on real tear-offs, real ridge vents, and real attic inspections in Essex, CT before we ever put a truck on the road under this name.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
We've seen what happens when a roof gets "good enough" instead of done right — the drywall stains, the mold behind the insulation, the second call nobody wanted to make. Our Commercial Roofing teams build to avoid that call entirely.
Verified licensing across Essex, CT with documentation available on request.
Storm damage doesn't check a calendar, so neither does our on-call rotation.
You'll see the number before any work starts, not buried in a final invoice.
Technicians dispatched from within Essex, CT, not flown in from another region.
A roof rarely fails all at once. It sends smaller signals first, and catching them early is almost always cheaper than waiting for the emergency call.
Asphalt shingles shed protective granules as they age, and a gutter full of grit usually means the surface layer is wearing thin.
Once a shingle starts warping, it's no longer sealing properly against wind-driven rain.
Small gaps that let light in will let water in during the next heavy rain.
Sagging drywall or a soft spot underfoot in the attic usually points to sustained moisture damage, not a one-time drip.
Energy bills that creep upward without an obvious reason are worth checking against your roof's condition.
A visible bare patch after a windstorm means the roof's weather barrier has a direct gap that needs covering immediately.
We break our work into distinct service lanes because a wind-lifted ridge cap and a full tear-off need completely different crews, materials, and timelines.
When high wind or hail peels back a section of roofing, our on-call crew tarps the exposed area to stop active water intrusion before it reaches the decking, then schedules the permanent repair.
Every residential estimate walks the homeowner through material options, from standard architectural shingles to impact-rated upgrades.
We schedule commercial jobs around business hours whenever possible, minimizing disruption to tenants, staff, or foot traffic.
Old, layered shingle systems often need a full tear-off rather than an overlay, and we'll tell you honestly which one your roof actually needs.
Post-storm inspections give homeowners a documented record for insurance purposes, whether or not a claim is ultimately filed.
If a roof has an unusual pitch, an older material system, or a custom architectural feature, our senior crews handle the scoping personally.
Call +1-844-212-9199 and describe the issue — active leak, storm damage, or a routine inspection — and dispatch will get you on the schedule.
You get a plain-language explanation of what's actually happening, not just a repair quote.
Financing and insurance-claim assistance are discussed at this stage if applicable.
Warranty documentation is provided on completion for both materials and labor.
Crews dispatched from within Essex, CT reach most Essex calls faster than out-of-area companies quoting a two-week wait.
Flat-rate pricing means the quote you approve is the quote you pay, barring a scope change we'll flag with you first.
Crews carry moisture meters, infrared scanners for larger jobs, and proper fall-protection gear on every site.
We'd rather send a crew back for a five-minute fix than leave a customer unsure whether the job was done correctly.
Storm-damage jobs come with photo documentation formatted for insurance adjusters, saving homeowners a step in the claims process.
If a repair is all your roof needs, we'll say so — we don't push a full replacement to inflate the invoice.
Every Commercial Roofing project closes with a written warranty covering our labor, separate from whatever coverage the shingle or membrane manufacturer already provides.
If a crew leader finds something during teardown that changes the scope, you'll hear about it before it changes your bill, not after.
Our Essex coverage area extends across Essex, CT, and if your address falls just outside the standard zone, dispatch can usually still arrange a visit.
Because our crews already know the layout of Essex and the surrounding parts of Essex, CT, we rarely waste a homeowner's morning on a wrong-turn delay.
